Blizzard upscale StarCraft 2 World Championship eSports Series with You Know Media

You Know Media is proud to announce our partnership with Blizzard and ESL to enhance their StarCraft 2 World Championship eSports Series (WSC). This partnership is part of a global first initiative, with McDonald’s becoming the first commercial partner of this series.


StarCraft is Blizzard’s longest-running eSports property, which commands a huge domestic and international audience as the game that began the rise of eSports. WCS is Blizzard’s professional eSports series that pulls together the best of the best from around the world to battle it out in 4 tournaments a year. This partnership will now give Australian players a platform to compete on the global level.


For the eSports genre, this partnership creates a host of opportunities for both players and spectators and how they interact with the sport.


With You Know Media’s support, the WCS tournament will now gain huge local and global coverage thanks to our 3 million user footprint, deliver audiences professional live tournaments hosted by ESL, whilst giving Australian champions a platform to compete on the international level with the resources they need.

The partnership will deliver two live tournaments at ESL’s Sydney studio, the first on the 24th of June. The series will run through to November, with the winners of each send internationally to compete against the winners of other countries.
